About the Role

We are excited to be recruiting for a temporary Talent Acquisition position to support our commercial/corporate recruitment functions for the next 7-8 months. This position can be based out of our headquarters or our office.

In this role, you will partner closely with site Business HR, supporting recruitment activities for assigned Abbott UK businesses. The TA Specialist will support multiple commercial and corporate divisions, driving full-cycle recruiting efforts from intake session through to offer negotiation and hire using Abbott's ATS, Workday.

All services are delivered within Abbott's model, technology and methodologies and require the ability to translate business needs into recruitment strategies and actions. High quality standards must be met in hiring practices, to include measurement against KPIs (time to fill, hiring manager and candidate satisfaction surveys, direct sourcing etc.)

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop an understanding of each division's business objectives and priorities
  2. Consult with hiring managers and Business HR to understand skill requirements, background and experience needed for each requisition
  3. Work with hiring managers to develop a comprehensive internal and external recruitment strategy for each requirement, setting and managing expectations
  4. Identification and execution of appropriate sourcing medium to attract suitable candidates
  5. Source, screen and manage candidates throughout the process, demonstrating superb communication skills and providing appropriate feedback
  6. Ensure structured, best practice competency based interview process is followed
  7. Conduct salary negotiation and management of offer process aligned with Business HR
  8. Complete diligent contract request process, to include conducting reference checks
  9. Ensure ATS (Workday) is maintained and accurate at all times, as well as relevant CRM (Phenom) actions
  10. Expertly manages efficient temp-to-perm hiring
  11. Proactively identifies and seeks support where required in resolving issues
  12. Advocate for our candidate promise of a best in class recruitment service, supports TA goals and as required, ad hoc projects
Requirements
  1. University degree
  2. Some prior experience in full cycle recruitment, ideally healthcare, with experience in direct sourcing
  3. Strong assessment skills to assess candidate's business capabilities, technical background and key competencies
  4. Professional, accountable and collaborative team player
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build professional relations across all levels of the business, including senior leaders and HR
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure and changing environment and manage multiple priorities
  7. Strong work ethic, motivated to deliver best in class recruitment and ensure candidate and hiring manager satisfaction
  8. Motivation to learn, grow and succeed
