About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Harm Reduction Lead. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in the development and delivery of our harm reduction services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support, information, and advice to individuals to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm
  • Develop and implement harm reduction strategies and interventions
  • Work closely with a team of experienced recovery workers to deliver needle exchange provision and other harm reduction services
  • Assess and address the needs of clients, including those with complex needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in health and social care, criminal justice, or a related field
  • Hold a NVQ 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Proven track record of working with substance misuse clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of harm minimization interventions, assessment, care planning, and key working
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
