Job Title: Underwriter - New Business

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team in a New Business role. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our insurance products meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate risk for new business applications, ensuring that our insurance products meet the client's needs and provide the necessary protection.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our insurance products meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.
  • Work closely with our underwriting team to ensure that our insurance products are priced correctly and that our risk management strategies are effective.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure that our insurance products remain competitive and compliant.
  • Contribute to the development of new insurance products and services to meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in underwriting, preferably in a commercial insurance environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and manage risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, including commercial insurance, liability insurance, and property insurance.
