About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial advice to our Service Line and Care Group Management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert financial guidance and support to Service Line Management Teams, ensuring cost-effective decision making and strategic planning.
  • Investigate complex financial queries, analyzing data and providing recommendations to ensure budget achievement and financial risk management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to inform business decisions and drive financial performance.
  • Collaborate with Service Line Management Teams to identify business opportunities and threats, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of Service Line financial information, ensuring compliance with NHS finance policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • CCAB or equivalent Professional Qualified Accountant with current registration and relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent level of numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to deduce key points from complex data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate Service Line Management Teams.
  • Experience in NHS finance management, with knowledge of NHS finance policies and regulations.
