Overview & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role

This role is accountable for establishing and upholding essential procedures and systems for the financial oversight of Elliot Group, ensuring the protection of assets, including automated systems, while preparing and scrutinizing the organization's financial statements. The position serves as the main liaison with external auditors and guarantees adherence to local GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with a recognized professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) is mandatory. A proven track record in diversified financial and accounting roles is crucial, with experience in both manufacturing and service sectors being highly advantageous. Exceptional analytical abilities and strong communication skills are vital. Familiarity with policies, procedures, corporate governance requirements, and well-organized administrative skills are essential. Additionally, the capacity to manage and organize substantial amounts of data under tight deadlines is equally important.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, JSOX directives, and tax regulations. Consolidate, analyze, and report the financial performance of the organization accurately and promptly. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and internal controls while safeguarding the organization's assets. Oversee the treasury functions, maintaining optimal cash balances and accurate forecasting. Analyze and interpret financial data for various management levels. Foster continuous improvement practices. Provide support and guidance to local operations and the sales division.

Interaction with Others

Regular engagement with the EMA Controller, Corporate Controller, Business Unit leaders, and various levels of the Finance organization, as well as external auditors, consultants, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

Supervision

Supervise the work of the Accountants within the EMA Finance Shared Service Centre for the organization, who report indirectly to this role.

Key Responsibilities and Competencies

Manage the financial operations of Elliot Group by adhering to established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS, and delivering timely and accurate financial statements. Protect corporate assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies, relevant laws, and regulations. Assist in tax accounting and planning efforts to minimize effective tax liabilities and ensure timely reporting. Support the development and implementation of efficient automated accounting systems. Prepare calculations for establishing standard costs related to materials, labor, and contract development, ensuring accurate inventory valuations. Provide analysis and recommendations for corrective actions regarding performance against financial plans. Assist in the completion of special projects as assigned by the EMA Controller. Review intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations. Manage cash collection and treasury functions, preparing cash flow statements. Oversee payroll processes. Ensure that entity registrations are current. Supervise the financial aspects of the organization's ERP system.
