The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Practitioner Psychologist to join our Forensic Intensive Recovery and Support Team (FIRST) as a Principal Applied Psychologist.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a senior role within our community forensic service, providing a pivotal role in the service, formulating and communicating psychological information, knowledge, and opinion to others.
Main Duties- Provide a highly specialist psychology service to service users supported by FIRST and ensure the community forensic service overall is of the highest quality.
- Provide highly specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals to ensure effective decisions are made about interventions, risk management plans, and future care pathways for service users in forensic inpatient services, including out of area placements, and in the community with FIRST.
- Supervise and support the psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment provided by other staff who provide psychologically informed care to service users.
- Plan and deliver a range of training for MPFT staff and staff of partner organizations.
- Undertake and disseminate audit, service evaluation, and research.
