About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Skilled Careers, working closely with a leading Main Contractor. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing Bills of Quantities and schedules of work, utilizing Conquest estimating software to select suitable subcontractors and ensure supply chain quotes are competitive and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and competitive tenders, adhering to company processes and procedures.
  • Take ownership of tenders, ensuring timely completion and accurate net costs.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to support tender programmes and engage with the Bid & Marketing Team to reflect quality submissions.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and suppliers, identifying key risks and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Meet tender deadlines and achieve a win rate better than 1 in 4.
  • Estimate on a wide variety of project types, ranging from D&B and JCT traditional forms of contract in the £200k to £4 million range.
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors to secure regular pricing.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £80,000 - £85,000.
