About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Associates to join our forward-thinking Health & Justice team at HMP/YOI Bronzefield, HMP Downview & HMP Send. As a Nursing Associate, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients residing in secure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-professional team to deliver safe and effective care to patients.
  • Be accountable for your practice to a registered nurse and participate in regular supervision.
  • Supervise, help train, and delegate to other members of the team Health Care Assistants.
  • Participate in team meetings and help develop the team.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a high-performing team by communicating effectively with all members, understanding how your role helps the team achieve its objectives, and using supervision and team meetings to reflect on your own practice regularly.
  • Develop skills in relation to coaching/teaching individuals/carers/other staff.
  • Engage in reflective practice, including management of self and reflection on own reactions, asking questions, and reflecting on answers given.

Requirements

  • GCSEs Grade A-C in Maths and English or key skills level 2 in Maths and English.
  • Demonstrable ability to study at Level 5 Diploma of Higher Education Level and commit to completing the Foundation Degree programme.
  • Qualified Nursing Associate.
