Position Overview: We are in search of a talented C++ Software Engineer to become a vital part of our Risk Technology division. This team is dedicated to the creation, enhancement, and upkeep of an advanced trading risk infrastructure, essential for various trading operations including trade capture, position oversight, profit/loss analysis, inventory management, and internal order processing.

The organization is heavily investing in the modernization of its Risk platform, transitioning to a cutting-edge service-oriented architecture. We are looking for engineers who possess a strong passion for software engineering and excel in a fast-paced, collaborative, and global setting, demonstrating a solid commitment to engineering excellence. Previous experience in finance is not a prerequisite; we seek proficient C++ developers who are eager to delve into this field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and deploy software that is critical to production.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and team members to gather requirements, establish architecture and technologies, and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate and contribute to design discussions while providing mentorship to fellow team members.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of C++ development experience within a Linux environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scalable, large-scale, or distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
  • Proficiency in optimizing code for high-performance applications.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, AMPS, or QPID.
  • Experience with Python, bash, or Q/KDB.
