About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Therapy Support Specialist to join our Education team at Aspris Children's Services. As a key member of our Therapy Team, you will play a vital role in supporting our learners to achieve their outcomes in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (ECHP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist trained clinicians with the preparation, planning, and delivery of group and one-to-one occupational therapeutic and recreational activities.
  • Observe, record, and report to the assigned clinician as appropriate.
  • Create appealing visual resources for sessions.
  • Manage a caseload of students.
  • Plan, run, and record 1:1 and group therapy sessions across various therapies.
  • Assist with the assessment and transition of new learners, ensuring they are familiar with the environment.
  • Creation of initial supporting documentation, such as Individual Placement Plans and Provision Maps.
  • Ensure the effective, timely, and accurate updating of clinical records, case files, and computerized information systems as directed.
  • Utilize IT skills, such as word and excel, to contribute to surveys, the collection, analysis, and presentation of data and information as directed.
  • Collate the agenda for and take notes from the weekly therapy meeting.
