About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a School Staff Instructor at Small Heath Leadership Academy in Birmingham. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding support to our young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

About the Academy

Small Heath Leadership Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 18 year olds, part of the Star Academies trust. We are an ambitious school with high expectations for all our pupils, providing a knowledge-based academic curriculum alongside a rich and diverse leadership programme that grows character and inspires charitable and social action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral care and support to our learners, ensuring their welfare is at the heart of the school.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a caring and supportive learning environment.
  • Use your experience of working with learners of all ages or dealing with members of the public in a busy setting to provide excellent customer service.
  • Use your ICT skills to support the effective use of technology in the school.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, pupils, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive school community.
