We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax Analyst. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring a robust tax environment for our Automotive business.
Key Responsibilities- Customs Clearance and Compliance: Monitor and clear shipments in Customs Duty Mailbox, ensuring timely clearance and preventing production delays.
- Document Management: Prepare and manage Customs documentation, including clearance requests and commodity codes, to support future HMRC audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure monthly regulatory audits from HMRC are completed, and our licence to import/export goods is renewed.
- Financial Data Analysis: Download financial data from SAP and analyze it in line with requests from the Tax Manager to support monthly VAT and financial reporting.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Assist with reviewing the impact of new system transitions and perform other tasks as required.
- Interest in Accounting and Tax: A strong interest in working in accounting and tax, with experience in accounting or a business-related field being a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and work with large amounts of data and related compliance regulations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to handle tax audits and reconciliations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools, especially Excel.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain tax processes and make recommendations.
