Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
- Plan and deliver a range of engaging and educational activities, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the nursery SENDco to support children with additional needs, ensuring their development is promoted as fully as possible.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, learning, and activities, using online learning journals via Tapestry.
- Contribute to the preparation and serving of food, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
- Exercise a duty of care for work colleagues, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Requirements:
- Good standard of secondary education, with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE pass level or equivalent.
- Level 3 Early Years Qualification (in accordance with the relevant standards).
- Paediatric first aid certification (or equivalent).
- Food hygiene certification.
- Recent experience working with 3 months – 5-year-olds in a childcare setting.
