We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to be part of our utilities division at Kier, focusing on projects within the water sector.
Location : Branton, South Yorkshire
Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Engineer , your role will involve overseeing the workforce at the wastewater treatment facility. You will engage in capital projects aimed at enhancing and ensuring the resilience of wastewater treatment facilities.
Your daily tasks will encompass:
- Executing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and managing technical inquiries, along with developing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and supporting short-term work schedules.
- Raising Technical Queries (TQs) regarding the proposed designs and ensuring compliance with quality control standards as per specifications.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Verifying that all materials and work performed align with specifications, while collaborating with the project planner and Project Manager.
- Planning and procuring equipment and materials necessary for site setup and throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills Required
This position of Senior Site Engineer is ideal for candidates who possess:
- A Civil Engineering HNC/Degree or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in a main contractor civil engineering setting.
- Familiarity with contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, as well as cost control including forecasting and value reporting.
- Expertise in developing, reviewing, and implementing Safe Systems of Work for specific tasks.
- A valid CSCS Card.
