As a pivotal member of DAZN's live broadcasting operations, the Transmission Team Leader serves as the primary liaison within the live Transmission Suite. This role involves overseeing a dedicated team of Transmission Controllers who are responsible for delivering an extensive range of premium sports content across both OTT and Linear platforms. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, managing operations for high-profile events such as UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and various motorsport competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of Live Directors, ensuring effective performance and professional growth.
- Lead the execution of live transmission operations, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
- Verify and confirm daily transmission bookings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Enhance operational practices within the transmission team to optimize efficiency.
- Update and maintain operational procedures to reflect best practices.
- Manage incident reporting and resolution to uphold service integrity.
- Identify and address operational challenges, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support and guide Live Directors during shifts, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in the recruitment and development of Live Directors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced live broadcasting environment, particularly in sports.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional broadcasting principles and modern transmission technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic setting.
- A proactive team player who is self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and broadcasting standards.
- Experience with broadcast automation systems and planning tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaborative software.
