About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects, focusing on residential and non-residential developments, and enhancing drainage and flood risk strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective flood risk assessments and surface water drainage strategies.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  3. Utilize industry-leading software, such as Micro drainage / Flow, to model drainage networks and optimize project outcomes.
  4. Contribute to site masterplans, ensuring optimal drainage integration and minimizing flood risk.
  5. Regularly review and improve company practices and policies to maintain a high level of service delivery.
  6. Assist in team management and development, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Drainage Engineer, Flood Risk Engineer, or in a similar role.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing flood risk assessments and drainage strategy documents.
  3. Strong background in managing drainage and flood risk elements of a project.
  4. Excellent understanding of UK drainage / flood risk regulation and best practice.
  5. Proficiency in Micro drainage / Flow, Micro station / AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  6. Experience in preparing transport statements/assessments, travel plans, and utility assessments is beneficial.
  7. Degree-level education is preferred.
