The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our water management team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing drainage and flood risk strategies for residential and non-residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct Flood Risk Assessments and develop Surface Water Drainage Strategies to ensure compliance with UK regulations.
  2. Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents to support Planning Applications.
  3. Utilize Micro drainage / Flow software to model drainage networks and optimize site masterplans.
  4. Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  5. Ensure projects are completed efficiently, meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  6. Regularly review company practices and associated policies for continuous improvement.
  7. Assist in team management and development, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Drainage Engineer, Flood Risk Engineer, or in a similar role.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of experience in preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents.
  3. Background in management of drainage and flood risk elements of a project.
  4. Strong understanding of UK Drainage / Flood Risk Regulation / Best Practice.
  5. Proficient in Micro drainage / Flow, Micro station / AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  6. Experience in preparing Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, and Utility Assessments is beneficial.
  7. Degree-level education is preferred.
