We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our maternity services.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff and undergraduate students, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Medical Education: Pursue an interest in medical education and assume the College Tutor role, responsible for the obstetric training of junior staff and undergraduate students.
- Clinical Governance: Take an active role in clinical governance, leading and participating in audit projects relevant to clinical practice, and ensuring the implementation of evidence-based guidelines.
- Research and Development: Promote research and academic activity within the department, contributing to the development of new treatments and improving patient outcomes.
- Administrative Responsibilities: Undertake necessary administrative work, including the management of staff and resources, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
- Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, Full GMC Registration, with licence to practice, MRCOG or equivalent, and Membership of relevant Specialist Societies or Associations.
- Experience: Fully trained in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with clinical knowledge and expertise in areas such as antenatal care, labour ward management, and gynaecological surgery.
- Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and make sound clinical judgments.
