About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Assistant to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Facilities team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive cleaning service to our in-patient and community settings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out periodic cleaning tasks in line with the annual cleaning schedule to meet national standards of healthcare cleanliness.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that cleaning standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Drive a Trust vehicle or use a car to travel across the Trust footprint to collect cleaning stores, supplies, and equipment as required.
  • Perform tasks such as carpet cleaning, ceiling and wall cleaning, curtain changing, and rotovashing/buffing floors.
  • Ensure infection control, COSHH, and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Person Specification

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent experience and a full UK driving license.
  • Experience of cleaning services, COSHH, and colour coding.
  • Knowledge of health and safety techniques and good liaison and communication skills.
