We are seeking a remarkable and skilled Culinary Supervisor to enhance our team at a prestigious establishment.

This venue is an independent local pub, restaurant, and beer garden, nestled in a charming village setting. Under the guidance of our Head Chef, our emphasis is on high-quality seasonal British cuisine with a distinct Spanish flair, sourced from top-notch producers and suppliers. Our Sunday roasts are renowned in the area. The bar boasts an excellent selection of local and international craft beers, cask ales, a diverse global wine list, and classic cocktails. We welcome guests for lunch or dinner, coffee breaks, or casual drinks, operating seven days a week.

This exceptional role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with fresh, premium, and seasonal ingredients, ideally with experience in gastro pubs; thrives in a bustling kitchen environment; understands and delivers impeccable service with or without the Head Chef present; can lead the kitchen team to consistent success; and is enthusiastic about innovation and change to achieve outstanding results for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring that service, safety, and security standards are upheld to the highest level.
  • Foster a culture of training within the team to ensure they possess the knowledge necessary to delight our customers and deliver exceptional dishes.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain and enhance agreed standards.
  • Assist the General Manager and Head Chef in identifying potential opportunities and products to maximize sales and improve the customer experience.
  • Prepare and present all food dishes to an exemplary standard, tailored to the day of the week and time of service.
  • Support the Head Chef in the development, implementation, and review of the menu to optimize sales in alignment with the pub's vision and business strategy.
