Job Title: Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children's Social Services department at Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.

About the Role

As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and providing care and support planning for children deemed to be in need of support, protection, or in need of being looked after by the local authority.

You will work with children and their families from birth to 14, focusing on outcomes, strengths, and confident risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide care and support planning for children in need
  • Work with children and their families to identify and address their needs
  • Develop and implement care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide a comprehensive service
  • Provide support and guidance to families to help them build on their strengths and resilience
