About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Leader to join our Technical Team at International Procurement & Logistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Production QA team, ensuring high and consistent quality is maintained during the packing phase to meet our specifications. Working alongside production colleagues, you will ensure all production lines comply with relevant legislative, food safety, and quality requirements, while meeting targets on productivity, cost per pack, and yield.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the QA team to meet our quality and compliance requirements during packing.
  • Maintain finished specifications to ensure availability for QA.
  • Ensure production paperwork is completed accurately, including track changes.
  • Investigate rejections or internal quality failures, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Maximize yield through coaching of colleagues on quality and monitoring & reduction, while meeting our specifications.
  • Communicate quality issues on the line to senior stakeholders to ensure quick action is taken to minimize impact on productivity.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to continuously improve the department's ways of working.
  • Deliver training and coaching sessions to QA using written SOPs and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with BRC requirements and assist in internal compliance audits.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working within Operations in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant experience in fresh produce or food.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification.
  • BRC Lead Assessor certification.
  • Proactive decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
