Design Manager - Water Treatment

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Engineering team at our East Midlands office. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects through their design phases, ensuring cost-effective, technically compliant, and buildable solutions are delivered in line with stakeholder requirements and programme expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects through their design phases, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Develop and implement design management plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver design solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives
  • Manage and motivate design teams to deliver high-quality designs within allocated resource hours and key dates
  • Ensure that all technical work is undertaken to the correct standards and specifications, following appropriate systems of work and quality assurance
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of multi-disciplinary design management in a design-build environment
  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification
  • Delivery-driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strategic, operational, technical, and management skills
  • Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment
