Submarine Training Devices Systems Engineer

Full Time, Hybrid Work Arrangement

This role is part of a pipeline for current and future positions within the Submarine Training Devices team.

Why New England Design & Construction?

New England Design & Construction is embarking on an exciting project to produce Maneuvering Room Training facilities to support Dreadnought Class crew training. This includes delivering two Maneuvering Room Trainers (MRT) into the Royal Navy Submarine Training Centre (RNSTC) in Faslane and a Part Task Trainer (PTT) classroom in both the RNSTC and the Barrow Crew Building in Barrow-in-Furness. Delivery involves design, assurance, manufacture, transport, installation, commissioning, and handover.

This role provides a unique opportunity for an individual to help shape a project across the product's lifecycle; It will enable a broad range of skills to be exercised, including requirements management, supply chain management, devising and implementing V&V strategies, and overseeing logistics.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:

  • The application of system engineering principles.
  • Requirements management and supply chain management.
  • Devising and implementing V&V strategies.
  • Overseeing logistics.

To work for New England Design & Construction, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality.
