Ornua Foods is seeking a dedicated and skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities by optimizing machinery performance, maintaining high product quality standards, and minimizing downtime.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Specializing in a specific area within the factory to develop expertise and contribute to efficient workflow.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to establish and implement comprehensive maintenance systems that promote reliability and longevity of equipment.
  • Conducting timely and professional maintenance tasks, adhering to strict safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and implementing effective solutions to restore operations quickly.
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement within the maintenance processes and suggesting innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of industrial machinery and processes.
  • A formal education in Engineering or a related field, coupled with practical hands-on skills in electrical work, welding, and mechanical fitting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team setting and the ability to mentor others.
  • Proficiency in basic IT systems and software applications relevant to maintenance operations.
