We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dentist to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Special Care Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients with additional needs, including those with complex clinical treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a full range of clinical dental care for patients with additional needs, including those requiring treatment under general anaesthesia and sedation.
- Work in a variety of locations, including domiciliary care and acute hospitals, to provide dental treatment and promote oral health.
- Provide clinical leadership for the local dental team and work with the wider clinical team to deliver high-quality dental care.
- Meet personal performance targets for clinical activity and management tasks.
- Provide line management for Band A dental officers and perform line management duties for direct reports.
We are looking for a Dentist with:
- BDS or equivalent qualification.
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification.
- Full registration with the General Dental Council.
- VT Number or equivalent.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Experience of providing routine dental care and working in Special Care Dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.
