As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team in Desford, Leicestershire, focused on sustainability and community development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead projects focused on developing new manufacturing technology and systems, ensuring they meet business objectives and quality standards.
- Identify business opportunities and justify capital investment to senior stakeholders.
- Develop manufacturing process solutions alongside functional teams, employing tools like process flows and PFMEA's.
- Promote lean manufacturing and quality within the business, enhancing efficiency and standards.
- Manage equipment specifications, installation, and supplier coordination to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and standardized workflows.
- A technical or university degree in manufacturing or an engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Facility Transformation experience – Targeted manufacturing assembly improvements to target volume uplift.
- AGV Fleet management experience is highly desirable.
- Proven project management skills, with experience in delivering large complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and technology development.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, IoT, Assembly Automation, and 6 Sigma Green Belt certification.
