Senior Bid Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bid or Proposals Specialist to join our team at Penspen. As a key member of our Bid Team, you will play a central role in ensuring the success of our proposals and tenders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the proposal life cycle, ensuring compliance with our bid management process.
- Develop and implement winning strategies and themes within proposals.
- Facilitate and prepare content for procedural review meetings on bid strategy, cost, risk, and lessons learned.
- Coordinate and administer tender pricing, liaising with subcontractors as necessary and ensuring all contractual requirements are met.
- Manage CRM for own opportunities, maintain excellent document filing and administration support for tender materials.
- Manage the bid database and development of knowledge stores, including standard company information, experience lists, executive summaries, and all proposals-related information.
- Assist with business development activities, such as preparing presentations and attending marketing events.
- Maintain compliance with departmental and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years' experience of preparing proposals.
- Proven experience of bid coordination and management for a range of project values.
- Excellent organisational, fluent communicator with strong bid writing skills.
- Proactive, resilient, and self-starter mentality with a strong desire to win.
- Comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong relationship and networking skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Excellent use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and PDF to prepare professional documents.
- Knowledge of the energy industry is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is desirable.
