Experienced Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our Children in Care Team in East Hants District. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services to children in care and their families, carers, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake holistic social work assessments to identify risk and need for children in care.
- Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency networks to develop and review plans that address and mitigate concerns.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders, including health and education professionals, to develop support packages for children with complex needs.
- Have a working knowledge of legislation governing work with children, including the Children's Act 1989, the Children's Act 2002, the Care Act 2014, and the Children and Families Act 2014.
- A Social Work qualification is essential.
- Prior experience of working with children within care is desirable.
- Ability to understand and navigate multi-agency systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
