Role Overview

The Leigh UTC and Inspiration Academy is seeking a motivated and engaging individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice). This exciting opportunity will start from September 2024, and our successful candidate will provide support for pupils with specific needs, making a real difference in their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist students with their educational and social development, both individually and in groups
  • Provide support for students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist teachers with maintaining student records
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with students, treating them with respect and consideration
  • Deliver a personalized curriculum for each pupil's learning
  • Have the highest expectation that every pupil will make sustained academic and personal progress

Apprenticeship Details

Annual wage: £11,805 per annum (£13,725 full-time equivalent)

Working weeks: Monday to Friday, term time, plus one week of inset

Total hours per week: 37 (including the 20% training element of the apprenticeship)

Apprenticeship duration: 18 months approximately

Anticipated start date: September 2024

Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Apprenticeship standard: Teaching Assistant
