As a Logistics Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transport activities within a reputable family-run industrial organization. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of approximately £12.26 per hour, along with 25 days of holiday plus statutory entitlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of vehicles entering the site.
- Verify incoming loads for compliance with regulations and waste classifications.
- Accurately document weights and waste types per vehicle, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Process delivery documentation efficiently.
- Promptly report any contamination or non-compliance issues to the relevant management.
- Address any discrepancies or errors in reporting.
- Ensure accurate waste tonnage reporting and maintain correct customer and supplier records.
- Foster positive relationships with customers and site visitors, addressing their inquiries.
- Communicate site rules effectively to all customers and provide necessary guidance.
- Verify that all vehicles have the appropriate documentation and EWC codes.
- Ensure compliance for vehicles moving from the site to their next destination.
- Compile reports on material compliance for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain an up-to-date site diary for material transactions.
- Assist with general administrative tasks and customer service, including managing phone inquiries.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, HR, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exceptional data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong communication abilities.
- A keen eye for detail and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in IT, with knowledge of MS Excel and SAGE being advantageous.
- Access to personal transportation is preferred.
