Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at United Living Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of quantity surveying, including contract administration, cost management, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration
    • Ensure that all contracts are administered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Review and negotiate contracts to ensure that they are fair and reasonable.
    • Manage and maintain accurate records of all contracts and correspondence.
  • Cost Management
    • Develop and implement cost management plans to ensure that projects are delivered within budget.
    • Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Identify and mitigate potential cost risks.
  • Dispute Resolution
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on dispute resolution and negotiation.
    • Manage and resolve disputes in a fair and timely manner.
    • Develop and implement strategies to prevent disputes from arising.
  • Team Management
    • Manage and lead a team of quantity surveyors and other commercial staff.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course.
    • Professional qualification MRICS or MCIOB desirable.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a quantity surveying role.
    • Proven track record of delivering commercial results and resolving disputes.
    • Experience of managing and leading a team of quantity surveyors and other commercial staff.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
