Job Summary

PJD Mechanical Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Regional HSE Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

Main Responsibilities
  • Audit and inspect operational areas to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with site teams to maintain a positive safety culture and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and review of risk assessments, safe working procedures, and method statements.
  • Deliver training on health and safety-related topics to employees and contractors.
  • Manage contractors, including pre-qualification, induction, monitoring, and review.
  • Communicate and facilitate environmental initiatives and respond to environmental incidents in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure operational areas have the necessary resources and facilities for emergency situations.
  • Act as a mentor to site supervisory teams on health, safety, and environmental matters.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • ECITB Safety Passport
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage workload demands and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic Microsoft Office package
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a power generation and EfW environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package
  • Medium Risk Confined Space
  • First Aid at work
