About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer to join our team at Thornhvac. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Air Handling solutions, including product R&D.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project designs from order stage, incorporating product R&D.
  • Work closely with internal engineers, CAD team, and customers to ensure equipment selections align with specifications.
  • Review project designs, pushing them to the manufacturing team for production and creation of full bills of materials.
  • Provide technical support for on-site or commissioning queries, resolving design or technical issues as required.

About You

We are looking for a strong background in HVAC design, ideally within Air Handling units. Experience in allied markets, such as fans, extract, or chilled water/heat pumps, will also be considered. Previous experience in an HVAC manufacturing environment is required, with a degree in a mechanical/engineering subject preferred but not essential.

What We Offer

Basic salary up to c£55k, with excellent company benefits, including 25 days holiday. Based out of our Bradford office, with some home working offered.
