About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Systems Administrator to join our team at co Limited. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing the infrastructure that delivers our self-managed and managed services to our customers in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve escalated issues and provide coaching to other departmental staff.
  • Implement and maintain effective monitoring of systems and services.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.
  • Occasional travel to various offices and data centers.
Requirements
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in an IT Systems role, with 5 years as a Linux/Windows senior administrator/engineer in the ISP industry.
  • Strong IT skills in an Internet environment.
  • Strong Windows Server administration skills in a hosting environment.
  • Experience with SQL systems administration, specifically MSSQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Experience with Dell server hardware.
  • Experience with common web platforms (Umbraco/Magento/WordPress) and their setup/operation.
  • Experience with load balancing and HA platforms (DB replication/load balancing).
  • Knowledge and experience with at least one shell scripting language (e.g., bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge and experience with configuration management tooling.
  • Experience with change management and configuration policies.
  • Flexible team-focused thinking.
Desirable Competencies
  • Coordinating projects.
  • Project management.
