Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver Shunter to join our team at Pertemps Network Group. As a Shunter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of multiple loads between our depot and a nearby client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Shunt Trailers: You will be responsible for safely moving trailers between our depot and the client's location.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Load Security: Ensure loads are secure and properly distributed before transit to prevent damage or loss.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the transport team to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of loads.
  • Paperwork and Logs: Complete all necessary paperwork and logs accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Driving License: You must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver or Shunter is essential.
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of vehicle safety and road traffic regulations is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are necessary for success in this role.
  • Shift Work: Ability to work 10-hour shifts on a regular basis is required.
