Job Description

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Driver Shunter to join our team based in Sleaford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Shunt Trailers: Ensure the safe and efficient movement of multiple loads between our depot and a nearby client.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee roadworthiness.
  • Load Security: Ensure loads are secure and properly distributed before transit.
  • Adhere to Safety Policies: Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements.
  • Accurate Record Keeping: Complete all necessary paperwork and logs accurately.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Driving License.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver or Shunter.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Safety: Good knowledge of vehicle safety and road traffic regulations.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Shift Work: Ability to work 10-hour shifts on a regular basis.
