We are currently seeking a Transport Operator for our operations, focused on executing our transport strategy effectively and efficiently. This role involves ensuring that the daily transport schedule is adhered to, maintaining safety and compliance at all times. You will be part of a dynamic team managing a fleet of over 30 vehicles, responsible for dispatching numerous loads daily.

Compensation and Benefits:

The position offers a competitive salary of up to £30,000 annually. Additionally, you will enjoy 25 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays, with the option to purchase extra leave days. Daily Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the dispatch of all daily loads/routes
  • Monitor driver activities to preemptively address potential issues, ensuring open communication with clients
  • Conduct debriefings with drivers, utilizing our Track & Trace IT system
  • Manage the dispatch of full truck loads through our Transport Management System, ensuring haulier partners are integrated into our Track & Trace application
  • Engage daily with the 3PL warehouse team
  • Communicate critical information to management and coordinate with other shifts for a seamless workflow
  • Adhere to all operational processes and procedures, promoting a safe and efficient working environment

Qualifications for Success:

  • Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment is essential – adaptability is key
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (SHARP preferred)
  • Proficient in using Track & Trace for operational decision-making
  • Knowledge of transport compliance and regulations
