This organization is spearheaded by a prominent private equity firm and is on a mission to execute a robust buy-and-build strategy to enhance its global footprint. They are in pursuit of a VP of Corporate Development & M&A, who will play a pivotal role within an esteemed senior leadership team, contributing to the formulation of the business's long-term strategic vision. This position demands a hands-on approach, necessitating comprehensive execution of M&A transactions, ideal for candidates with substantial transactional expertise.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and execute the M&A strategy for the organization
  • Establish a top-tier Corporate Development/M&A team
  • Evaluate, analyze, and identify acquisition prospects, including the development and assessment of financial models and acquisition justifications
  • Ensure meticulous pre-acquisition integration and separation planning
  • Manage the overall M&A deal pipeline, encompassing outreach and sourcing of new opportunities, joint ventures, etc.
  • Foster and maintain essential relationships with current and prospective investors
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Business Officer on significant commercial initiatives and private equity activities

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Over 10 years of pertinent experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred
  • Experience with private equity is advantageous
  • Background in a leading investment bank or top-tier consultancy is preferred
  • Adaptable in a continuously evolving and expanding environment
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation capabilities
