Job Overview

As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the FloQast sales team by leveraging your operational and technical expertise in accounting. Your primary responsibility will be to address accounting-specific inquiries and scenarios during the sales process, thereby enhancing revenue generation and fostering the development of our sales representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in remote and occasional on-site product demonstrations alongside sales representatives to address technical and operational accounting inquiries.
  • Deliver comprehensive, value-driven product demonstrations to potential clients and existing customers.
  • Engage in webinars, trade shows, and industry events to advocate for our product offerings.
  • Enhance the sales team's understanding of accounting principles to better meet the needs of prospects.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to strategize on positioning, handling objections, and determining next steps.
  • Conduct internal training sessions to improve accounting knowledge within the sales team.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to assess each stage of the sales cycle and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with product, support, and implementation teams to provide feedback on product development and ensure seamless client onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create effective sales collateral.
  • Communicate the intangible impacts experienced by sales representatives in their interactions.
  • Share insights into why clients choose FloQast, including experiences and success stories.
  • Assist the partnership and consulting teams in conducting demonstrations for private equity and accounting firms.
  • Support the Customer Success team by participating in calls with clients to resolve accounting-related queries.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape to serve as a subject matter expert for sales and partnership teams.
  • Organize necessary IT and sales materials for the sales team.
  • Aim to improve individual sales closure rates.
  • Assist in technical evaluations related to the FloQast application.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage across various communication platforms.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the accounting industry, with active involvement in the month-end closing process.
  • Familiarity with the financial compliance landscape and its operational dynamics.
  • A collaborative team player, comfortable in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • An enthusiastic communicator who enjoys networking and building relationships through various video conferencing tools.
  • A proactive self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and follow-through, viewing challenges as opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with FloQast or similar month-end closing software.
  • Experience in implementing accounting systems or using various financial software solutions.
  • Proficiency in French and/or German is advantageous.
