Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in one of our excellent primary schools in Morpeth.
About the Role:The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide individualized support to the pupil, helping them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress. This will involve:
- Providing 1:1 support to the pupil, adapting to their needs and learning style
- Supporting the pupil during lessons, ensuring they understand and engage with the material
- Communicating effectively with the class teacher to develop and implement strategies for the pupil's progress
- Preparing resources and materials for learning activities
- Supervising the pupil during break times and lunchtimes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
- A recognized Childcare-based qualification (although this is not essential)
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting
- High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to fulfill their potential and flourish in education
