Senior Configuration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Configuration Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be based remotely for 3 days and in our Stevenage offices for 2 days per week.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of Configuration specialists across multiple products, packages, and life cycles in a multi-environment setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Configuration Manager in managing the correct design definitions for multiple product variants.
  • Review engineering changes for respective projects to ensure business process is applied and approbation controls are adhered to.
  • Provide draft Configuration Management document updates to the project Configuration Manager ahead of the review period.
  • Prepare comprehensive and timely Configuration Meetings data to be provided to the Configuration Manager and project team.
  • Ensure control of project design definitions are adhered to across the development, production, and in-service phases.
  • Support and guide project areas with regards to applicable Engineering Change methodologies.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge regarding principles of Configuration Management and the application of these within a demanding yet professional engineering environment.

They will also have the ability to build rapport with stakeholders and positively promote the Configuration Management group through a supportive and proactive approach.

A comprehensive understanding of Configuration Management principles and practices is essential for this role.
