Electrical Mate Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mate to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. As an Electrical Mate, you will play a crucial role in carrying out LED lighting replacements, ensuring all paperwork and certification are completed, and liaising with the Project Manager on a daily/weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out LED lighting replacements in hours and out of hours, in line with the project schedule
  • Ensure all paperwork and certification are completed and submitted on time
  • Liaise with the Project Manager on a daily/weekly basis to give regular updates of scheduled jobs
  • Take in deliveries from multiple manufacturers, hire, and waste companies
  • Have detailed knowledge of the contract, drawings, and specifications for the project
  • Deliver the handover of all completed works to the site manager

Requirements:
  • The flexibility to work 40 hours per week or more, including evening/twilight shifts to support the project's requirements
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away from home
  • 6-month fixed-term contract
  • Full UK manual driving license for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points
  • Electrical experience/knowledge, working towards basic electrical qualifications
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification
  • IPAF 3a & 3b
  • A good level of IT literacy
  • Experience with electrical installation/project work
  • Specifically commercial lighting replacements
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace
