Quality Assurance Supervisor - Nights

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at The Compleat Food Group. As a key member of our Technical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our food manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist with unannounced audits and factory performance to maintain AA+ grade.
  • Manage pest control site visits and non-conformance close outs.
  • Supervise the QA / Technical team, including coordinating rotas, responsibilities, and attendance.
  • Work with production and QA teams to ensure accurate paperwork and traceability.
  • Support customer visits from the Technical side of the business.
  • Train, coach, and develop the production team and QA operatives on technical matters.
  • Monitor shelf-life samples to protect the business and end customers.
  • Coordinate micro analysis testing, trending, and performance.
  • Generate and record Technical KPIs within agreed timescales.
  • Be the product quality champion, covering specifications, quality, and aesthetics.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a QA role in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
  • Level 3 HACCP certification.
Desirable Skills:
  • Microbiology knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills across departments.
  • Good English (written, verbal) and basic numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work in an organized, methodical manner.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Understanding and application of food legislation, BRC Global Standard, and customer codes of practice.
  • Good analytical abilities.
  • Able to coach on procedures and processes.
