Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join our team at Bureau Veritas Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical consultancy to clients, supporting the development of business strategies, and ensuring the delivery of projects on time and to budget.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality technical consultancy to clients, including support in the definition of market drivers and service offerings.
  • Support the development and delivery of business development and sales plans, including tender responses and input into large bids.
  • Ensure project delivery on time and to budget, managing resources and undertaking regular project reviews.
  • Keep abreast of current legislation, national and international standards, and technical developments within the relevant field.
  • Operate in line with Bureau Veritas Core Values and Code of Ethics.
  • Track and report on the status of active proposals, and follow all financial and risk procedures in the delivery of projects.
  • Contribute to a rolling forward team order book and forecast, and work with the AVOH Team Manager and Offshore Business Unit Manager to ensure resource plans match the order book demands.
  • Resolve conflicts in a timely manner, and monitor individual utilisation versus targets, actively managing optimal utilisation and identifying opportunities for upskilling.
  • Ensure performance appraisals are conducted for all direct reports, and provide ongoing performance monitoring and management with appropriate feedback.
  • Support the recruitment process, including screening of applicants and leading interviews.
  • Ensure a safe, environmental, and high-quality culture exists in the operations of the business.

Requirements:

  • Technical consulting background with a strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Understanding of line management responsibilities, ability to encourage others to develop new skills, and think globally and locally when developing and communicating objectives and strategies.
  • Good understanding of commercial risk, and a degree-qualified in a relevant subject.
  • Member of a related professional institution close to achieving LFOH status (within 3 months).
