Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to join our client's team in Birmingham. This is a hybrid working opportunity that involves mentoring and training.

  • Proven experience in creating data-rich dashboards and implementing row-level security in Power BI.
  • Expertise in extracting and transforming datasets for reporting and analysis using tools such as SQL, R, Alteryx, and Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and modelling, including facts and dimensions, materialised views, and data quality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of data protection considerations and user experience in Power BI reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data-rich dashboards using Power BI.
  • Implement row-level security and data governance best practices.
  • Extract and transform datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data models, including facts and dimensions.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Power BI certified or extensive report writing experience using business intelligence/visualisation tools.
  • Power BI mentoring/training experience.
  • Experience of creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, Power Query, and implementing row-level security in Power BI.
  • Experience in extracting and transforming datasets for reporting and/or analysis using tools such as SQL, R, Alteryx, Snowflake, etc.
