Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineer (Defence Infrastructure) - Contract (Ongoing)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join our client, an international engineering consultancy, on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, setting new benchmarks for safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Influence the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.
  2. Lead and justify design changes in high-risk environments, ensuring safety and reliability.
  3. Create and manage documentation supporting Nuclear Infrastructure Design.
  4. Develop and maintain schedules for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing.

Requirements

  1. HNC in Civil Engineering.
  2. Basic health and safety training.
  3. Training in nuclear safety case development.
  4. A good track record in Civil Engineering, ideally within the UK nuclear industry.
  5. Proficient in designing and assessing industrial and maritime structures.
  6. Proficient in relevant design software and IT tools.
