About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Analytical Services Team at Campden BRI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering robust and efficient analytical services within the metals and minerals team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the provision of relevant and cost-effective services to the food and allied industries.
  • Operate and effectively utilize resources and facilities to achieve team goals.
  • Perform technical operations within a specific process and/or laboratory area, and provide practical assistance to colleagues.
  • Design and develop methodology using ICP for a range of analysis for food and drink when required.
  • Respond to client enquiries relating to testing within the group.
  • Conduct work in accordance with relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures, and instructions.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience in analytical science.
  • Good knowledge of food science and technology.
  • Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
  • Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system.
  • Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.
