Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for roofing projects, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure all contract terms are adhered to.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and prepare interim and final valuations.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, providing regular updates and reports to management.
- Manage contractual documentation, including variations, claims, and dispute resolutions.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure all projects comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Education / qualifications in a subject relating to Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Commercial Management.
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the roofing industry (ideally commercial flat roofing).
- Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
- In-depth understanding of roofing materials, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- A valid driver's license is required.
