Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Maidstone, Kent. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, preferably ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the smooth running of the business, overseeing a client portfolio of owner-managed companies in the Maidstone area. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts and management accounts
  • Assisting clients with Personal and Corporation Tax returns/compliance
  • Reviewing the work of the Bookkeeping team and junior staff
  • Business Advisory work
  • Onboarding new clients
  • Utilizing systems such as Iris, Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience within an accountancy practice, with a strong background in preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns. Experience with Iris and cloud software such as Xero/QuickBooks would be advantageous.
